About the Presenter:
Dr Ian Freckelton AO QC is a member of the Tasmanian and Victorian Bars. He took silk in 2007. His practice is trial, appellate and advisory throughout Australia. Ian is editor of Thomson-Reuters 7- volume loose-leaf service on Expert Evidence. His book on Expert Evidence and Criminal Jury Trials has been published by Oxford University Press and the 7th edition of Expert Evidence: Law, Practice, Procedure and Advocacy will be published later in 2022.
Dr Freckelton has been a member of 10 administrative tribunals. He was a Commissioner at the Victorian Law Reform Commission, leading its reference on Medicinal Cannabis. In 2021 he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to the law, and to the legal profession, across fields including health, medicine and technology.
