Description
Ms Simone Herbert-Lowe follows her very successful and informative presentation Up Close and Personal – Cybersecurity and the Modern Law Firm at the Property and Commercial Law Conference in 2019 with this session. It includes an update about additional risks posed as a result of COVID-19 including working from home arrangements, COVID-19 themed scams and security risks associated with video conferencing. Cybercrime is predicted to lead to the biggest transfer of wealth in human history, and in Australia cyber security incidents have been estimated to cost businesses up to $29 billion per year, with legal PII insurers warning lawyers about a spike in claims due to email fraud. Your firm could be a target because you act on high value funds transfers, or hold confidential and sensitive information. To increase your firm’s cyber resilience this webinar focuses on a five-pronged approach, to address prevention and mitigation strategies and greater risks due to COVID-19, covering the following areas: People; Processes; Technology; Incident preparation; and Insurance.
