Corporate Practitioner Practising Certificate Conditions
The holder of this certificate must be employed by a corporation, association or other entity that is not a law practice as defined in the Legal Profession Act 2007
- The holder of this certificate must not engage in legal practice otherwise than by providing in-house legal services to a corporation by which the lawyer is employed or to a related body corporate.
- The holder of this certificate cannot be a director of an incorporated legal practice, a partner of a legal firm or a legal practitioner in private legal practice.
- The holder of this certificate cannot hold trust monies.
- The holder of this certificate is required to undertake continuing professional development in accordance with the requirements of the Law Society of Tasmania’s Practice Guideline no.4 on continuing professional development.
- The holder of this certificate will notify the Society within 14 days of any cessation of employment or change of employer.
- Unless the holder of this certificate has completed the Law Society of Tasmania Sexual Harassment, Changing Workplace Culture workshop, the holder is to complete the workshop by 30 April 2024.
