Legal Profession (Solicitors’ Conduct) Rules 2020 and Rules of Practice Amendment Rules 2020
On 1 October 2020 the Legal Profession (Solicitors’ Conduct) Rules 2020 commenced along with significant amendments to the Rules of Practice 1994, see Rules of Practice Amendment Rules 2020.

All practitioners should familiarise themselves with the new rules and changes to the Rules of Practice. The following resources will assist.

A practitioner who is granted a practising certificate by the Society is subject to statutory conditions of practice and conditions imposed by the Council of the Society on their practising certificate. The standard practising certificate conditions imposed by the Society for each class of practising certificate are listed here – Practising Certificate Conditions.
