Merrilyn Williams, Acting Manager, Operations

About the Presenter:

Ms Merrilyn Williams, is currently the Acting Manager Operations of the Legal Profession Board of Tasmania. Merrilyn is an experienced legal, investigation, mental health and disability specialist working in investigation, mental health and disability areas. Merrilyn has a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, School of Psychology and a Bachelor of Laws.

Gayle Johnston, Senior Investigation Officer

About the Presenter:

Ms Gayle Johnston, is currently the Senior Investigation Officer at the Legal Profession Board of Tasmania, the independent body in Tasmania responsible for receiving and investigating complaints about the conduct of lawyers. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Laws, Gayle was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Health and Medical Law in 2001, and is a 2012 graduate of the Tasmanian Leaders Program. Gayle is a longstanding Board member of The District Nurses, a state-wide community nursing organisation. In the past she has been an elected representative on Law Council for the Law Society of Tasmania and a previous Chair of The Law Society’s Pro Bono Clearing House.
