About the Presenter:
Ms Fran McCracken graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2004 and was admitted in practice in 2005. She commenced her career as an Associate in the Supreme Court of Tasmanian before starting in private practice in Launceston. Since commencing practice, Fran has had a successful career as a criminal defence lawyer and was awarded the Law Society Legal Aid Award in 2022. Fran has acted as counsel in many high-profile matters, including the recent “Burnie Five” murder trial, in which the Crown relied on common purpose as a basis of liability.
