Marica Duvnjak, Deputy President, TASCAT
About the Presenter:
Ms Duvnjak worked in private practice from 1994 to 2015 practising in a broad range of legal disciplines involving both commercial and litigious matters. From 2009 to 2011 Marica was a member of the Parole Board; and was its Chairperson from 2011 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, she was Principal Crown Counsel – Office of the Solicitor General of Tasmania (Litigation), and 2016 to 2017 she was the Criminal Injuries Compensation Commissioner. Marica was Acting Chairperson of the Resource Management & Planning Appeal Tribunal from 2017 to 2018; and temporary Commissioner Worker Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal Oct to Nov 2019. She was a Board member of Sacred Heart College from 2015 to 2020; and a member of the Guardianship and Administration Board 2020 to 2021. Marica has been a Board member of Catholic Care Tasmania since 2017, and Chairperson of the Resource Management & Planning Appeals Tribunal since 2018.
Alison Clues, Deputy President, TASCAT
About the Presenter:
Ms Clues, BA LLB, graduated in 1987 with an Arts/Law degree. Alison specialised in personal injuries, insurance and professional negligence law. She has worked at Murdoch Clarke and was a partner at Dobson Mitchell Allport and Page Seager. Alison also ran her own firm, where she managed the professional indemnity insurance claims for the legal profession. In 2020 she was appointed as Chief Commissioner of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal and the Asbestos Compensation Tribunal as well as the Chair of the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal, the Motor Accidents Compensation Tribunal and the Health Practitioners Tribunal. As from 5 November 2021 Alison will be a Deputy President of TASCAT.
