Senior Assist is a specialist elder abuse unit within Tasmania Legal Aid funded to assist clients over 65, or over 50 if they identify as aboriginal, or Torres Strait Islander, who are experiencing, or are risk of elder abuse. Senior Assist is an integrated service comprising legal practitioners and case managers/social workers providing free support and legal assistance to these clients.
Many of clients require a Will, enduring power of attorney, and enduring guardian, but do not have the financial resources to pay professional legal fees. Senior Assist is compiling a list of firms in Tasmania, who can offer estate planning services at a reduced rate to these clients. Interested law firms can contact Gemma Misrachi, Manager, Senior Assist, on (03) 6236 3841 or email@example.com.
