Undertaking A: Part-Time Practitioners

The below undertaking relates to the application of a reduced premium for part-time employees who meet the eligibility criteria below.

Part-time: For the purpose of the insurance scheme a part-time practitioner is a practitioner who is employed no more than 22.8 hours per week for the financial year 2022-2023 and will not work an average of more than 22.8 hours per week in the financial year 2022-2023.

On the advice of its underwriters, the Society is not able to provide premium refunds when a practitioner ceases to practice or changes employer during the course of the policy year.

The premium paid to underwriters includes unlimited run-off cover for “former practitioners” without the need for the payment of any additional premium in future years after the practitioner has ceased to practice.

IMPORTANT: The submission of your firm renewal application will constitute the giving of this undertaking if applicable.
